Whew! Today's run was a Benchmark run. I ran outside. In Texas. In August. Even at 9 AM, it's hot and humid. 😩 It wasn't exactly fun, but I did it.
Here's the format I was given:
- 7 minutes warm-up
- 3 minute run at higher, challenging pace
- 5 minute cool down jog
Those 3 minutes at a higher pace were fairly taxing. The good news is my knee has held up over the past couple days so I think I'm in the clear with that! 🎉
Looking forward to tomorrow's 10 minute recovery run! ✌️
P.S. You might have noticed that the header image looks a bit different today. That's because I used GPS and instead of showing me a nice, pretty image, Nike showed me a map of my run. Which is cool, but I hope you'll understand if I don't post it here. The new header image was generated at Placemat, it's pretty nice.
